“The importance of forming simulation in the product development of high-performance composite parts”
Keynote IIILuise Kärger is Director of the Institute of Vehicle System Technology (FAST) and head of the Division Lightweight Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). She holds a full professorship in Digitalization in Lightweight Design and has 20 years’ experience in composite simulation, with a focus on composite process simulation since 2012. She completed her PhD on composite impact simulation in 2007 at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Braunschweig, Germany. In 2014, she was awarded the leadership of a Young Investigator Group on composite process simulation chains, funded by the Vector Foundation. Since 2022 she has received a DFG Heisenberg grant, which led to her current position as full professor and institute’s director at KIT.
